There’s a tenderness to the way I move through life that naturally found its way into photography. I grew up surrounded by open landscapes, muddy dogs, long tables filled with family, and the kind of love that shows itself in quiet, everyday ways. My loved ones taught me to value people deeply, to celebrate them not for perfection, but for who they truly are. I think that’s why weddings feel so meaningful to me. At their core, they’re simply a gathering of people choosing love, over and over again.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, my best friend since 2007, and the person who has shaped so much of the way I understand love and commitment. Being a bride myself gave me a softer perspective on weddings. I understand how much emotion lives within a day like this, the anticipation, the vulnerability, the desire for everything to feel right simply. I carry that understanding into every wedding I photograph, showing up not only as your photographer, but as someone who genuinely wants you to feel cared for, calm, and fully present in your celebration.

Outside of photography, my world is made up of little things that make life feel rich: strong coffee or a matcha before a wedding morning, music loud enough for a solo concert in the car, slow dinners with friends, beautifully folded napkins, dogs at my feet, movement that clears my mind, and chasing goals that remind me how alive it feels to push myself. I’m a sports scientist by degree and an internationally accredited sports massage therapist, so movement has always been part of my life. Most weekends you’ll find me training for a half-marathon, a HYROX event, or dreaming about signing up for a triathlon.

I’ve always admired people who create with their hands, artists, ceramicists, people who can shape beauty out of something ordinary. While I may not be particularly gifted at this myself, I think photography became my version of that quiet art form. A way of preserving feeling. A way of holding onto the fleeting.

I’m naturally a type-A person, organised, intentional, and always triple-checking my camera gear before a wedding day. But I’m equally drawn to people who soften that part of me. The ones who remind me to slow down, laugh louder, and leave room for spontaneity because some of the most beautiful moments in life are the ones we never planned for.

On a wedding day, I become whatever my couples need in that moment, a calming presence, a steady guide, a source of energy, reassurance, or laughter. More than anything, I want people to feel safe enough to be purely themselves in front of my camera. That’s where the magic lives for me: in the in-between moments, the unscripted emotion, the fleeting glances, the feeling of being deeply known and deeply loved.
