There is something about New York that feels nostalgic before it has even become a memory. Perhaps it is the way old cathedrals stand between the city's constant movement, or how every street seems to carry a thousand stories of its own.

The morning began with a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony, a tender celebration where two families became one. It was warm, heartfelt, and deeply meaningful, a quiet moment before the day's grandeur unfolded.

Tony and Hoai exchanged their vows in one of the most breathtaking Catholic cathedrals we have ever stepped foot in. Gold details stretched toward the ceiling, candlelight flickered against centuries-old architecture, and the atmosphere carried a sense of reverence that is difficult to put into words. Some places have to be experienced. As Hoai walked down the aisle in a gown that was the perfect expression of understated artistry, Tony's face softened.

The way they looked at one another spoke of certainty, two people who knew they were exactly where they were meant to be, at exactly the right time.

As the afternoon gave way to evening, the celebration continued across the river at The Rockleigh in New Jersey, where their most beloved family and friends gathered beneath glittering chandeliers. Sunlight streamed through the windows, catching the florals on each table and filling the room with a golden glow. Every glance across the room revealed another reunion, another embrace, another reason to celebrate.

For the evening festivities, Hoai changed into a champagne-hued gown adorned with delicate sparkle, her hair falling loosely around her shoulders as the celebration shifted into full swing. A champagne tower, cake cutting, and a live band kept the dance floor full from beginning to end.

Something I'll never forget: Dragon dancers moved through the crowd to the delight of their guests

The night ended beneath a tunnel of sparklers, surrounded by the people who had travelled near and far to witness their story. It was joyful, elegant, and deeply personal.  A celebration woven together by family, tradition, and a love that felt both timeless and entirely their own.

A New York love story, carried across the river and into forever.
